People often forget to smile (we want to see those pearly whites!)

People forget to look at the webcam while talking (don’t roll your eyes at me!)

People forget to turn the light on and figure out a good lighting source (emo teachers?)

People forget that it’s all about the content when you’re giving a webinar (content is king!)

People forget to dress nicely, and wear pants (don’t forget these things, please)

People forget to learn how to use the platform in the first place (oops!)

Join Brad and Koichi, pros when it comes to giving webinars (at least they think so), who will tell you everything you need to know to give a great webinar online, no matter what software you’re using (just so happens they’re using eduFire’s, because it’s amaaaazing). There are ten things you have to remember when giving a webinar online, and they go over all of them. If you’d like the worksheet that went with this webinar, you can find the “10 Steps to Running a Knockout Webinar” worksheet here.

Entrepreneur Jon Bischke started his first company a little over a decade ago, and has learned many lessons along the way. Over the course of an hour, Jon takes you through some of his successes and failures, providing an informative and inspirational lesson to all those who are running a business or considering starting one.

Some feedback from people who attended the class:

“Brilliant class. As the title says, it was totally worth attending it! Jon made this one hour seem like 10 minutes.”

“This was a really great session. I have a much greater desire to open the store of my dreams now that it seems more realistic.”

“Good insight into the entrepreneurial process with real-life examples.”

If you’re feeling like your “stuck” and don’t know what to do (or how to pursue your passion in business), take a look at this class, and be sure to see what other classes on entrepreneurship you can find as well.

Investing money is big business – making money by investing it is even better. All it takes is one little mistake to mess things up for you and cause you to lose all of your hard earned money. In this class, Ranjit Mathoda teaches you all about the mistakes people make when investing, so you don’t have to. Even though he was worried about sharing all his investment secrets with you, Ranjit loves teaching too much, which is great for you Besides, you know what they say – those that fail the most win. Why not just learn from those failures (i.e. investing mistakes) and skip ahead a bit?

Ranjit Mathoda is the founder of Mathoda Capital LLC, where he manages capital by looking for inexpensive stocks and favorable situations, and is a cofounder of The Ocyle Group LLC, an investment company focused on acquiring interests in prominent private companies. He previously was a corporate and commercial real estate lawyer at McGuireWoods LLP.

Mr. Mathoda has a law degree from Boston College Law School, bachelors of science summa cum laude in Finance and Operations Research from Babson College, completed three years of study at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Computer Science and Economics, and is a member of the California State Bar. Mr. Mathoda has been quoted by the New York Times for his analysis of Barack Obama’s use of the Internet and startup techniques in his presidential campaign and for observations regarding the source of Google’s market power.

“Saar is one of the best and brightest entrepreneurs in the Valley and we are thrilled to have him join our team,” said George Zachary, general partner, Charles River Ventures. Saar brings a solid track record of identifying some of the industry’s most promising start-ups and we are excited to add their expertise to our aggressive investment plans, particularly in the consumer Internet space.

”Prior to Brightroll, Saar was part of the senior management team of Adteractive, an online performance-based marketing company and one of the largest buyers of online media. Saar helped build Adteractive to over 175 employees and $120mm in revenues, with no outside capital. Saar was vice president of online customer acquisition and was responsible for the company P&L. Before Adteractive, Saar and his business partner raised approximately $12 million of equity capital to execute a complex private equity transaction. The project was sold within two years and returned over $30 million to investors. Saar started his career in investment banking and venture capital at Lehman Brothers. He has a biochemistry degree from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an M.B.A. from Stanford University. He is also the co-founder of carebadges.com, an online community that enables individuals to generate market awareness for the organizations and causes that they care about.

What does it take to get funding from a VC? Enjoy this class taught by Saar Gur, a very successful Venture Capitalist at Charles River Ventures. If you’re looking to get your company funded, if you’re interested in what your salary should be at your startup, or anything else related to money and funding, then this video a great place to start.

Sure, you could become friends with @Obama, @Hulu, and @Starbucks, and rely on them (and other Twitter accounts like them) to automatically follow you back, but that really won’t do much for you.

You Think:
Every morning, Obama opens his MacBook Pro (because that’s totally the kind of computer he uses in my imagination). He logs on to Twitter.com and checks to see what all of his 750,000 Twitter friends are doing.

Reality:
He doesn’t care what you Tweet, because his intern / autofollower application followed you back, and there is a zero percent probability that he will ever ReTweet or read anything you say.

Why would you follow someone with the hope that they’ll follow you back (at least without really targeting an individual) if you aren’t going to get anything out of it? Sure, you might get more followers, but those followers really don’t matter, for the most part. What you really want is high quality followers, but how do you get them? It certainly isn’t easy, but it’s a lot more rewarding. It takes time, effort, and about one month to get 1000 Twitter followers.

This video is all about that. Over the course of 28 days (that’s four weeks), you will get a new lesson for each one of them. Each lesson is supposed to help you learn how to do something else on Twitter, so that by the end of the month you’ll be a Twitter pro (and hopefully have a thousand high quality followers). Watch the video now, and look out for other marketing classes on eduFire as well!

Where do you live? Is it the best place in the country? Do you even know?

Maybe you woke up this morning in your Flint, Michigan bed and though “*yawn* it doesn’t get any better than this!”

But then you feel small, insignificant. Sure, you made that decision, and you decided that Flint, Michigan is the best place in the U.S. to live, but did anyone really listen? Bert is the guy who has that power. He’s the guy that Picks the Best Places to Live, and lots of important people actually listen.

Here is how I imagine a day in the life of Bert Sperling:

12:00am: Bert wakes up from a power nap. He won’t need to sleep again for 300-400 more days.

1:00am: Bert eats breakfast. It is steak and eggs. He wrestled an angry bull to the ground and prepared it the day before.

4:00am: Bert watches recordings of all the television shows he’s been on. He has to play them on 10x speed.

6:00am: McDonalds calls him, and begs him to do a study for them on the Happiest Places in the U.S. for their Happy meal anniversary. Bert tells them to send Ronald over so they can talk about it.

9:00am: Ronald arrives, bearing gifts of golden golden fries. Bert agrees “Okay, fine, I’ll do it this time. But the King has been bugging me lately to run a study on the ‘Creepiest Places in the U.S.’ That dude is weird.” “Word son,” replies Ronald, giving Bert a fist bump.

10:00am: Bert sits down at his desk and noodles on the next best place to live.

11:00am: The world rejoices!

2:00pm: Bert turns on the television and Oprah watches him.

If you want to know more about Bert Sperling and the incredible job and business he runs, take a gander at the video above. How did BestPlaces get started? Why did he start BestPlaces? Does Bert have any knowledge to pass down to ye? Only one way to find out. No, not there! Look up, Look up!
